Susan Smith and Jennifer Tuxen opened Do Re Me Music presents Kindermusik in January 2006.  Starting very small, they taught evening Kindermusik classes at Asbury United Methodist Church.  Seeing so many wonderful babies turn into toddlers and then young children through the program inspired the team to start offering more classes and to branch out into the community.  Do Re Me Music has offered classes through Community Education at LSUS and BPCC.  Also, a new day care program called ABC Music and Me was offered at Cornerstone Day School in Bossier City.  In addition to the classes offered throughout the year, Do Re Me Music offers summer camps for toddlers, along with their parents/caregivers.  This past fall, Do Re Me Music joined the Shreveport Dance Academy in offering Kindermusik classes for ages newborn through 7 years old.  Other locations include Fellowship Methodist Church on Barksdale Boulivard, LSUS Community Education, Grace Community Methodist Church and Jumping Jupiter.  Jennifer Tuxen has a BA in Music from Louisiana Tech University and Susan Smith has over 25 years experience in teaching children.  Together they make a dynamite team that are enthusiastic, fun-loving and feel that music is for everyone and can bring out the best in every child!
